Ok, Ok. So this Triumph guy owned an MG for a while. A few years back a
friend told me this was for sale and it was too good to pass up. It was in
pretty good shape, but the previous owner painted it, but never rubbed
it out. I'd never seen orange peel so bad. It even felt like an orange. So
I spent a few weeks wet-sanding and buffing and polishing. It came out
pretty decent. Mechanically the MGB was in good shape. It was driveable
after a tune up. I did a lot of cleaning up under the bonnet and in the
interior, and one Saturday afternoon I parked it in front of my house and a
neighbor stopped and said, "I want that car!" Well, the following Tuesday
it was his. I didn't get to drive this car much, but when I did it was fun.
It had a little different feel from my Triumphs, but still definitely British.
